Classic Aurora Borealis Tour
Yes! It is possible to see the aurora during Bear Season! After a day of polar bears, reward yourself with yet another natural wonder of Churchill.
For this classic favourite tour, we will travel outside of town where there is less light pollution to chase these mystical dancing lights across the night sky. During this time of year, Polar bears are common so this tour comes with a polar bear guide which will insure your safety during the many viewing and photography opportunities of the evening.
Please note that the Aurora is a natural phenomenon and may not be active on the night of your scheduled tour and the following policies are in place to optimize your chance of seeing them:
When you book an Aurora tour with us, you can sign up for any evening or evenings you would like. For each of these nights, we charge a $25.00 non refundable fee (this fee must be paid prior to being put on the tour list, and pays your guide to stay up to see if the lights will appear). If the lights come out before 10:30pm, your guide will contact you by phone or knock on your hotel room door to let you know the tour is running and will pick you up. The remainder of the tour price can be paid the following morning. For more information on how to pack and what to expect on your trip, visit our FAQ page.
(Pick up and drop off at your accommodation is included.)
